The Hellbender: Lansing, NC's first inaugural bike ride
The Inaugural Hellbender Bike Ride will take place on Saturday September 9th, 2023. Riders can choose to participate in either the 30-mile or 70-mile route, or the Pond Mountain Challenge, each route starts and ends in Historic Downtown Lansing, NC.
The Inaugural Hellbender Bike Ride will take place on Saturday September 9th, 2023. Riders can choose to participate in either the 30-mile or 70-mile route, or the Pond Mountain Challenge, each route starts and ends in Historic Downtown Lansing, NC.
Each route will take you through the backroads of the most scenic part of Ashe County, North Carolina. Riders will weave through the hills and hollars, past old tobacco barns and homesteads rich with history. With both paved and gravel roads, the terrain will be challenging but rewarding.

Online registration opens on March 1st.
The registration fee is $85 per rider and includes 1 free commemorative t-shirt (additional t-shirts can be purchased during registration or at the event).
The Inaugural Hellbender Bike Ride is capped at a total of 150 riders.
Packet pickup will be held on Friday 9/8/2023 from 6-7pm and Saturday 9/9/2023 from 7-8:15am in the Lansing Creeper Trail Park.
Volunteers
